Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for its Burlington, North Carolina facility to receive, prepare, and process clinical specimens. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, equipment maintenance, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Perform specimen and patient information scanning and data entry
• Ensure laboratory equipment functions properly and perform minor maintenance
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and maintain test bench supplies
• Maintain clean and safe work environment and complete administrative documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfort handling biological specimens and ability to accurately identify them
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• 3+ months specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience preferred
